An internship with the GE Vernova Communications team offers comprehensive exposure to global business functions and strategic operations. We are seeking a highly motivated, creative individual to contribute to dynamic projects and hands-on execution. By leveraging strong communication skills, the successful candidate will help enhance organizational effectiveness, foster a positive workplace culture, and support transformative initiatives that drive our business forward
Essential Responsibilities:
- Strategic Content Development: Research and collaborate with business units to draft high-impact content that aligns with organizational goals and communications plans.
- Digital Multimedia Creation: Design and produce engaging digital assets, including videos, infographics, and newsletters—to promote key initiatives and highlight employee successes across internal and external channels.
- Strategic Messaging: Proactively identify and pitch opportunities to amplify key organizational messages to broader target audiences.
- Communication Support: Manage content writing, editing, and ad-hoc communication projects to ensure brand consistency and clarity.
- Event Coordination: Plan and execute company events and large-scale meetings, ensuring seamless logistics and high-quality attendee experiences.
- Community & DE&I Engagement: Partner with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and affinity groups to support and promote their activities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key point of contact for site-based managers and employees to facilitate effective communication flow and support daily operational needs.
Basic Qualifications
- Academic Background: Currently enrolled students pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Entertainment Business Management, or International Business.
- Bilingual Proficiency: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish. Portuguese is considered a strong advantage.
- Content Creation: Demonstrated ability to develop engaging, high-quality content across diverse communication channels.
- Creative Agility: An innovative thinker who excels at brainstorming fresh concepts and translating them into visually compelling content within fast-paced, short-cycle environments.
- Writing & Editorial Precision: Strong attention to detail with professional-grade writing and editing skills.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Adaptability: A fast learner with the ability to quickly master new technologies, platforms, and processes.
- Dynamic Mindset: Comfortable navigating a fast-paced, evolving workplace and working collaboratively in a hybrid setting (minimum of 2 days per week in-office).
Desirable Software Proficiency:
- Microsoft 360 Apps (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Artificial Intelligence (Copilot, Gemini, Claude, GPT)
- Social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Engage, Canva)
- Adobe Creative Cloud experience (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Open-source platforms like Openshot, Gimp and Audacity is a plus
