XXII Century Inc. is looking for a experienced Truck Driver Recruiter who knows how to turn applicants into qualified, road-ready drivers.
At least 2 years of experience in the same role is required!
This is not a role where you simply post jobs, wait for applications, and pass resumes along.
You will own the recruiting process from the first conversation through orientation, qualifying company drivers and owner-operators, keeping candidates moving, completing required screenings, and making sure strong applicants don't get lost in the process.
You are often the first impression a driver has of XXII Century. How quickly you respond, how well you communicate, and how effectively you manage the process directly impacts our ability to grow our fleet.
If you're organized, persistent, comfortable spending your day talking to drivers, and know how to keep a recruiting pipeline moving, you'll fit well here.
If you need someone constantly reminding you who to call, what to follow up on, or what needs to happen next, this probably isn't the role for you.
What You'll Own
- Serve as the first point of contact for company driver and owner-operator applicants.
- Manage recruiting leads and keep candidates moving through the hiring pipeline.
- Prescreen applicants and determine whether they meet company requirements.
- Communicate consistently with candidates by phone, text, and email.
- Manage applications and onboarding requirements through Tenstreet.
- Initiate applications, send required documentation, and track outstanding items.
Complete required background screening, including:
- MVR
- Criminal background
- Previous employment verification
- PSP (Pre-Employment Screening Program)
- Schedule pre-employment drug testing and ensure requirements are completed.
- Coordinate new-driver orientation.
- Follow up aggressively and professionally so qualified candidates don't disappear because of a slow recruiting process.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and know exactly where each applicant stands.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role isn't measured by how many applications you receive. It's measured by how effectively you move qualified drivers from applicant to hire.
You should know your pipeline, understand what's holding candidates up, follow through without being chased, and consistently create a professional experience for drivers.
We expect you to take ownership of your results and look for solutions when something isn't working.
What You Bring
- Driver recruiting or transportation experience strongly preferred.
- Understanding of company drivers, owner-operators, and the realities of the trucking industry.
- Ability to confidently prescreen drivers and ask the right qualifying questions.
- Strong phone, text, and email communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple candidates and priorities without losing track of details.
- Familiarity with Tenstreet.
- Strong follow-through and sense of urgency.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems without waiting for constant direction.
- Comfortable working U.S. Central Time business hours, regardless of your location.
Who This Role Is For
This role is for someone who likes clear expectations, measurable results, and ownership.
You don't wait around for candidates to call you back. You follow up.
You don't let applications sit because one document is missing. You figure out what's needed and get the process moving.
You don't measure a good day by being busy. You measure it by progress and hires.
XXII Century is building a disciplined, accountable team around Disciplined Truth, Noble Character, and Ambitious Impact. We're looking for a recruiter who wants to contribute to that growth and can deliver results.
