About the role:
Specialist in Collections Analytics – Responsible for driving credit recovery performance through the application of advanced analytics, statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and data-driven strategies. This role leverages large and complex datasets to generate actionable insights, optimize collections processes, improve customer segmentation, and support the development of effective recovery strategies. The Specialist partners closely with Collections Operations, Credit Strategy, and Business Intelligence teams to identify opportunities, measure performance, and influence business decisions through data. Additionally, the role is accountable for developing predictive and optimization models, monitoring their effectiveness, designing experiments to evaluate strategy outcomes, and delivering recommendations that enhance operational efficiency, portfolio performance, and overall recovery results. Through a combination of analytical expertise, business acumen, and technological capabilities, the Specialist plays a key role in transforming data into measurable business value and continuous improvement across the collections function.
In this role you will:
- Develop research, analysis, and recommendations to support the Collections operations;
- Structure and maintain datasets of the Collections area;
- Create reports and controls of KPIs to support the credit recovery operations;
- Develop and implement segmentation, predictive, and optimization models
- Measure and monitor the impact of models and strategies deployed
- Structure, execute and analyze experiments (A/B tests, RCT)
- Present analysis and recommendations to support decision making
- Lead and participate in data & analytics projects in the area
What makes You an ideal candidate?
- Experience working with systems, databases, data warehouses, extracting and manipulating data (Required)
- Proficient in quantitative analysis, variable transformation, statistical modeling and Machine Learning (Required)
- Proficient in testing and validating models, as well as implementation and monitoring of performance (Required)
- Competence in data visualization and communication of results (Required)
- Strong technical base in statistics and computer programming
- Degree in areas: Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in áreas such as MIS\Credit Strategy, or Business Intelligence (BI) in financial service industry
- Python and SQL – Advanced (Required)
- SAS and R – Advanced (Preferred)
- Excel – Advanced (Required)
- PowerBI – Advanced (Preferred)
- Experience in Portfolio modeling and segmentation (Preferred)
- English – Advanced (Required)
Additional Knowledge and Skills
Working effectively within an AI enabled environment:
- Ability to use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support daily work
- Skills in evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias
- Experience integrating AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights
- Familiarity with AI assisted research, summarization, and content generation
Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection
