We are looking for the best talent for the PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shift Start-up: Lead daily stand-up meetings to review previous shift metrics, establish daily production goals, and communicate quality alerts
Resource Allocation: Assign workstation duties for operators on the assembly line
Downtime Mitigation: Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or material flow issues to minimize delays and keep the line running at takt time
Process Checks: Conduct regular audits on door trim components to ensure they meet stringent automotive standards
Defect Resolution: Lead root-cause analysis (5 Whys, Ishikawa diagrams) when encountering issues such as vinyl wrinkling, poor clip seating, or squeak and rattle defects.
Scrap Reduction: Monitor and drive improvements in First Time Through (FTT) metrics and scrap reduction.
Ergonomics: Ensure operators adhere to ergonomic standards, as door trim assembly often involves repetitive motion and heavy lifting.
Safety Enforcement: Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintain 5S workplace organization.
Incident Investigation: Lead thorough investigations into any workplace injuries, near-misses, or safety hazards
Training and Onboarding: Coach new and existing team members on standardized work instructions and cross-train operators to ensure shift flexibility
Performance Management: Conduct regular performance appraisals, track attendance, and manage disciplinary actions when necessary
Kaizen Initiatives: Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and improve line ergonomics
Metrics & Reporting: Compile Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data (e.g., units produced, efficiency rate, safety incidents) into end-of-shift reports to share with plant management
* English B1 - B2
* Bachelor's Degree
* Experience in the automotive industry (2 years)
