Director of Talent Acquisition
Amalga Group | Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico
Job Type: Full-time | Work Model: In Person | Reports To: Senior Director of Operations
Lead the talent engine behind exceptional nearshore teams.
Amalga Group is a nearshore BPO and managed-services partner that helps U.S.-based organizations build and operate high-performing teams in Mexico. We support customer experience, sales, legal operations, finance and accounting, back-office, and technology functions. Our approach combines bilingual talent, disciplined operations, measurable results, and a people-first culture.
We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Talent Acquisition to lead our recruiting function in Monterrey. This leader will build the capabilities, systems, and team required to hire exceptional talent at pace—without compromising quality, candidate experience, or operational readiness. This is a highly visible role for a dynamic, data-driven talent leader who thrives in a fast-moving environment and knows how to turn hiring demand into dependable outcomes.
What You Will Do
● Lead the end-to-end talent acquisition strategy for high-volume and specialized hiring across BPO, customer support, sales, legal operations, finance, back-office, and technology roles.
● Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Talent Acquisition team. Establish recruiter capacity plans, clear priorities, service standards, and a culture of ownership, urgency, and continuous improvement.
● Partner with Operations, HR, and leadership to translate workforce forecasts and client needs into practical hiring plans, timelines, sourcing strategies, and recruiting capacity.
● Own the full recruiting lifecycle: intake meetings, job design support, sourcing, screening, structured interviews, selection, offer management, preboarding, and handoff to onboarding.
● Own ATS administration and adoption. Improve workflows, stage definitions, data integrity, automation, reporting, and recruiter discipline so the ATS becomes a reliable operating system for the business.
● Build proactive, multi-channel talent pipelines through job boards, referrals, social recruiting, talent communities, local networks, events, and other approved sourcing channels.
● Use recruiting analytics to manage performance and drive decisions. Monitor pipeline health, requisition aging, time to first qualified candidate, time to fill, conversion, offer acceptance, source quality, and candidate and hiring-manager experience.
● Create a candidate experience that is responsive, transparent, respectful, and aligned with Amalga’s employer brand. Ensure candidates receive timely communication throughout the process.
● Partner with hiring managers to improve intake quality, interview readiness, selection consistency, and accountability for fast, thoughtful hiring decisions.
● Bring forward market insights and solutions when roles are difficult to fill, hiring priorities shift, or process bottlenecks appear. You will solve problems early rather than report them late.
● Ensure recruiting practices protect candidate information and follow company policies and applicable requirements.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, success means hiring plans are visible, realistic, and consistently delivered. Leaders understand pipeline status and risks before they become urgent. Recruiters have clear processes, useful technology, and strong coaching. Candidates experience a professional process and leave with a positive impression of Amalga, regardless of outcome. The business can scale with confidence because qualified talent pipelines are active before demand peaks.
What You Bring
● 7+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience, including at least 3 years leading recruiters, a recruiting team, or a Talent Acquisition function.
● Demonstrated success leading high-volume recruiting in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment. Experience in BPO, shared services, staffing, customer experience, contact centers, or multi-site operations is strongly preferred.
● Experience recruiting for a mix of frontline and professional roles. Experience with bilingual talent, U.S.-aligned operations, or cross-border teams is a strong advantage.
● Advanced proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruiting operations, sourcing tools, reporting dashboards, and spreadsheet-based analysis.
● Strong command of recruiting metrics and funnel management, with the ability to turn data into practical action and clear leadership updates.
● Excellent people leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills. You earn credibility by being direct, prepared, responsive, and solutions-oriented.
● Fluent Spanish and advanced English, written and spoken.
● Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
The Leader We Are Looking For
You are both strategic and operational. You can build a talent acquisition plan, review funnel data, coach a recruiter through a difficult search, and partner confidently with senior leaders—all in the same week. You move quickly, stay organized when priorities change, and set a high bar for follow-through. You understand that great recruiting is not simply filling roles; it is building the capability, trust, and talent pipeline that enable a business to grow.
Why Amalga Group
At Amalga, Talent Acquisition is central to our client delivery model and our growth. You will have the opportunity to build a modern recruiting operation in Monterrey, work closely with operational leaders, and directly influence the quality and stability of the teams we deliver.
