We are seeking an experienced Staff Manufacturing & Process Development Engineer specializing in machining operations to lead the development, optimization, and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes. This senior-level position will drive continuous improvement initiatives, support new product introductions, and provide technical leadership across machining operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Support:
- Support production floor operations with technical expertise and troubleshooting
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement projects
- Evaluate and recommend new manufacturing technologies, equipment, and tooling
- Lead cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards
Project Management:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with defined timelines and budgets
- Interface with suppliers and vendors for equipment procurement and process development
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project status updates for management
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering with focus on machining processes
- Proven experience with CNC machining operations (screw machine, milling, turning)
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, Mastercam, Esprit or similar)
- Strong knowledge of machining parameters, tooling selection, and fixture design
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
- Knowledge of GD&T, inspection methods, and metrology equipment
