Marsh
Senior Windows Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Windows Engineer to join our team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mexico City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. As a Senior Windows Engineer, relied upon heavily during high-stakes operational events and transformative corporate cloud initiatives. You must possess the maturity to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority, the intellectual agility to synthesize vast amounts of multi-system data in real-time, and an uncompromising passion for the evolving technology landscape. If you live and breathe technology, possess exceptional communication capabilities, and command the advanced scripting and infrastructure-as-code capabilities required to engineer immutable Windows environments at an enterprise scale, we invite you to join our team.
We will count on you to :
- Lead Critical Incident Responses: Take a lead role on Major Incident conference calls. You will use your exceptional analytical acuity and outstanding communication skills to direct, influence, and drive rapid resolution across global, cross-functional engineering teams (including Network, Storage, Database, and Security).
- Drive Strategic Cloud Migrations: Serve as an authoritative voice and technical anchor for Windows workloads during large-scale, highly complex cloud migration initiatives.
- Architect and Build Complex Systems: Independently design, engineer and deploy highly resilient, multi-system Windows environments. You will map complex system dependencies and ensure infrastructure is built to stringent scalability and security baselines.
- Build Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Eliminate manual operational tasks by writing advanced scripts and deploying sophisticated automation pipelines. You will leverage PowerShell as a core development language to automate complex server support, configuration management, and immutable server builds.
- Operate with Extreme Autonomy: Function as a mature, self-directed leader within the engineering domain. While this role does not involve direct personnel management, it carries the expectations of a Team Leader level role, requiring you to mentor peers, define global technical standards, and execute large-scale projects flawlessly.
What you need to have :
- 8 to 10 years of experience in Windows Server engineering or any related field
- Exceptional Communication: Strong English language skills (both spoken and written) are strictly required. You must be highly capable of articulating highly abstract technical concepts to both engineering peers and global business stakeholders across multiple time zones.
- Deep Windows Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server architecture (2016 through 2025), failover clustering, advanced networking stacks, and Active Directory Domain Services within massive, geographically dispersed enterprise environments.
- Automation & Coding: Hands on experience working with Git and PowerShell. Proficient in writing and reviewing clear, clean and concise scripts and code with version control methodologies.
- DevOps & CI/CD Proficiency: Hands-on experience integrating Windows infrastructure into modern continuous delivery pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins to deploy infrastructure as software.
- Cloud Fluency: While grounded heavily in Windows platforms, you must operate comfortably, securely, and seamlessly within Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, understanding the networking, compute, and identity fabrics of these public clouds.
- Proven Delivery Record: A demonstrable, proven track record of successfully designing, building, and delivering complex Windows solutions—not just maintaining or operating pre-existing environments.
Why join our team :
- We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
- We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.
- Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.
