Job Description
The Manufacturing Systems Engineer (MES & Shop Floor Systems) is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), shop floor applications, and production software used in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role ensures the availability, reliability, and performance of manufacturing systems while providing technical support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and IT to ensure seamless manufacturing operations and business continuity in a 24/7 environment.
Job Duties & Responsibilities

Administer, maintain, and support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and shop floor applications.

Troubleshoot and resolve software, database, and production system issues to minimize downtime.

Configure and maintain manufacturing logic, production workflows, routing, sequencing, and business rules.

Develop scripts, utilities, and software enhancements to improve manufacturing processes.

Support integrations between MES, ERP, machine interfaces, and shop floor equipment.

Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server databases and Windows Server environments.

Monitor system performance, application health, and production logs to ensure operational stability.

Participate in system upgrades, migrations, implementations, and continuous improvement projects.

Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production incidents.

Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system configurations.

Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and IT teams to support manufacturing operations.

Provide technical support in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, including after-hours support and scheduled maintenance when required.

Manage multiple priorities while ensuring high levels of customer service and operational excellence.
