About the role:
The Software Engineer will design, develop, and deploy resilient, scalable, and performant solutions delivering value to business users and external customers as well as aiding overall business scale and success.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain systems emphasizing resiliency, scalability, and security based on business needs.
- Serve as a technical resource within the digital loan platform, designing and implementing features and bug fixes based on specification and reference architectures
- Identify areas of technical debt and work with product management and engineering leadership to ensure our product roadmaps include sustainability items to constantly improve the quality of our platform
- Increase individual capability by receiving mentorship and guidance from senior members on the team while serving as a valuable voice within the team on process and technology
- Keep abreast of developments in technology, bringing potentially beneficial solutions to the attention of the larger team for vetting and awareness
Minimum Qualifications
- BS/BA in computer science or related major or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to develop scalable solutions based on business requirements
- Minimum of 1 years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience with mortgage/financial industry technology and data is preferred
Knowledge and Skills
- Experience in scalable agile methods
- Proven capability of working within a DevOps oriented SDLC
- Familiarity and capability in Angular, React, or similar JavaScript frameworks/libraries
- Moderate experience in scalable n-tier development C# .NET
- Experience developing in an Encompass or other mortgage environment preferred
- Understanding of processes and best practices involved in work within a Git-based CI/CD platform
- Ability to discern user requirements and develop specifications
- Collaborative personality and a self-starter that’s able to work remotely in a high functioning team
