As our California personal injury law firm continues to scale across key markets, we require a proven executive marketing leader to architect our overall acquisition strategy, diversify our brand channels, and optimize profitability.
We are seeking an experienced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to serve on our executive leadership team. Operating from our Guadalajara regional hub, you will take full strategic responsibility for our brand equity, enterprise growth strategy, dollar ad spend allocation, and cross-functional performance across marketing and intake operations.
Why This Role Matters
As our Chief Marketing Officer, you will serve as the top growth authority responsible for defining, executing, and scaling FLF's macro marketing roadmap. You will provide strategic leadership for our regional marketing operations (including our 8-person GDL team), agency networks, and media-buying infrastructure.
Working directly with the Managing Partners, Chief Executive Leadership, and Operational Heads, you will align performance marketing, brand positioning, traditional media investments, and call center intake funnel efficiency to maximize firm revenue and Cost Per Retained Case (CPRC). Your executive direction will directly shape FLF’s expansion as a premier California legal brand.

What You'll Do
Executive Marketing Strategy & P&L Ownership
- Architect and execute the firm’s comprehensive growth strategy to capture market share across target California DMAs.
- Manage total marketing P&L, allocating multi-channel media budgets across Digital Paid Media (Google Search, LSAs, Meta), TV, Radio, Billboards, and Community Relations.
- Drive enterprise performance based on executive yield metrics: Cost Per Retained Case (CPRC), Average Case Value yield, and overall Marketing Return on Investment (ROAS/ROI).
- Identify competitive vulnerabilities, emerging media channels, and strategic expansion opportunities across new practice areas or territories.
Brand Development & Integrated Media Management
- Elevate FLF’s brand architecture, positioning, storytelling, and market presence across all consumer touchpoints.
- Oversee large-scale traditional media acquisitions (Broadcast TV, Connected TV, Terrestrial/Digital Radio, OOH) to complement digital direct-response campaigns.
- Maintain consistent executive messaging and brand authority across digital assets, mass media advertising, and community outreach.
Growth Operations & Organizational Leadership
- Provide top-level executive leadership and mentoring to the Head of Marketing, 8-person regional marketing team, and external agency partners.
- Architect the scalable organizational structure required to support multi-regional firm growth.
- Establish high-level department SLAs, executive scorecards, and cross-departmental accountability frameworks.
Cross-Functional Revenue Funnel Leadership
- Partner with Executive Leadership and Intake Management to optimize the complete conversion lifecycle—from first ad click to signed retainer agreement.
- Lead enterprise business intelligence initiatives using Power BI, Looker Studio, and legal analytics platforms to guide firm-wide decision-making.
- Serve as the chief authority on California State Bar legal advertising compliance (Rules 7.1–7.3), safeguarding firm reputation and licensing standards.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Master's / MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 + years of executive marketing leadership (CMO, VP of Marketing, Growth Director) with demonstrated success scaling high-volume direct-response organizations.
- Proven track record managing annual media budgets across both digital (Search, Paid Social) and mass traditional media (TV, Radio, Billboard).
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise growth teams, agency partners, and nearshore/offshore operational centers.
- Mastery over financial acquisition metrics in high-CPL industries: Cost Per Retained Case (CPRC), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Return on Equity/Ad Spend, and attribution modeling.
- Native or near-native professional English fluency with exceptional C-suite communication, negotiation, and board-level presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive executive background in high-volume Personal Injury law, legal services, or mass-scale legal lead generation.
- Deep understanding of California media markets, DMA dynamics, and California State Bar advertising ethics.
- Experience integrating advanced AI platforms, predictive analytics, and automated lead routing into marketing engines.
