Position:
Embedded Linux Engineer — Robotics Autonomous Machines (NVIDIA Jetson)
Job Description:
Arrow Electronics guides innovation forward for over 220,000 technology manufacturers and service providers, with 2025 sales of $30.9 billion across 228 locations in 85 countries. Our Intelligent Solutions engineering teams design the edge AI and autonomous systems our customers ship.

Build the brains of the next generation of robots.
Autonomous mobile robots, industrial inspection drones, surgical robotics, smart-city vision systems — the companies building them across the Americas come to Arrow to get from prototype to production. Youll be the engineer they work with.
As an authorized NVIDIA distributor, Arrow supports the full NVIDIA Jetson System-on-Module portfolio for edge AI and autonomous machines, and we build our own reference designs and carrier boards around it. This role sits at the center of that: bring-up, board support packages, and getting real inference workloads running on real hardware in the field.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Board bring-up and BSP work on NVIDIA Jetson modules, kernel, device tree, drivers, boot flow.
- Build and tune embedded Linux images (Yocto / JetPack / L4T) for customer platforms.
- Integrate robotics and perception stacks: ROS 2, camera and sensor pipelines (MIPI CSI, GMSL), CAN, real-time control.
- Optimize AI inference at the edge: model deployment, TensorRT tuning, thermal/power budgeting on constrained platforms.
- Prototype reference designs alongside Arrows engineering teams, then help customers take them to volume.
- Work directly with customer engineering teams, youll see dozens of robotics products a year, not one.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelors degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, AI or related field.
- Strong embedded Linux fundamentals (5): C/C, Python, kernel and driver-level debugging.
- Hands-on with ARM SoCs and single-board computers; Yocto or Buildroot experience.
- Exposure to any of: ROS/ROS 2, computer vision, CUDA, TensorRT, real-time control, motor drives.
- Comfort with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and hardware that doesnt boot yet.
Why this role beats a single-product job.
Most embedded engineers spend three years on one robot. Here youll touch autonomous machine designs across warehouse robotics, agriculture, medical, and industrial automation. With early access to NVIDIAs edge AI roadmap and a direct line to their engineering resources. Breadth like that is hard to buy back later in a career.
Work Arrangement:
Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days work from home
