The MRP Buyer will work with staff across departments to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on the demandand re-order points.The Raw Material Buyer is responsible for efficiently and timely managing the procurement of essential inputs for production, ensuring a continuous supply of key materials while meeting quality, cost, and timing requirements.
Responsibilities
- Responsible Purchasing for MRP materials and various services.
- Make purchases decisions in accordance with company procedures and regulations.
- Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list, clarifying unclear items.
- Determine the correct method to process purchases requisitions depending on total cost, timeline, competitive bidding and existing contracts.
- Prepare Purchase Requests and create Purchase Order by verifying order quantity, price and order as required.
- Forwarding orders to supplier, monitoring and expediting orders.
- Review and track deliveries status against the orders.
- PO reschedule pull in, push out and cancellation follow up.
Qualifications
- Bilingual Spanish/English is required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent equivalent experience in purchasing
- 3 years of experience in material Sourcing or Purchasing, and Material Control
- Knowledge of ERP system, SAP is preferred
