General Objective
Lead the human resources strategy and management in the region, ensuring compliance with all legal and safety regulations, promoting talent development and retention, and maintaining effective labor relations with both the union and employees. This includes designing and implementing compensation, benefits, and training policies and programs that support the company’s mission and vision, contribute to a positive work environment, and align human resources practices with Kauffman Engineering’s strategic objectives
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure Legal and Regulatory Compliance in Human Resources and Safety: Guarantee that all human resources policies, procedures, and practices, as well as workplace safety, hygiene, and health standards, comply with local and national laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks and avoiding penalties.
2. Employee Development and Evaluation: Coordinate and oversee the performance evaluation process, identify training needs, design development programs, and ensure the professional and skill growth of all personnel at all levels of the organization.
3. Labor Relations and Internal Communication Management: Serve as a mediator between management and employees, handling conflicts, addressing demands and complaints, and promoting open and effective communication to maintain a positive work environment.
4. Compensation and Benefits Design and Administration: Develop and maintain a competitive and equitable compensation and benefits package that promotes employee retention and satisfaction and manage the payroll and benefits programs.
5. Talent Strategy and Management: Assess hiring needs, develop recruitment and selection strategies, establish performance standards, and evaluate local human resources teams to ensure the acquisition and development of the right talent.
6. Human Resources Metrics Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) in the human resources area, present data and metrics to senior management, and provide support for informed and strategic decision-making in talent management.
7. Labor Relations Management with the Union: Maintain an effective relationship with the union, negotiate the collective bargaining agreement, and follow up on all matters between the union and the company, ensuring smooth communication and resolving labor disputes efficiently and fairly.
Requirements:
A minimum of 10 years of demonstrable work experience in a Regional Human Resources Manager position or a similar role is required. The ideal candidate must be bilingual in Spanish and English, with advanced proficiency in both languages, written and spoken. Additionally, a university degree in Law, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline is required. Expertise in local labor regulations and the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) standards is essential. Experience in labor relations management is required. Knowledge of occupational safety, hygiene, and health standards is necessary. Experience in managing compensation and benefits packages is expected. Experience in developing training and development strategies is also required.
Educational Background
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Talent Management or a related field
· Master’s degree in Human Resources (preferred)
