En Ingredion hay una cultura de respeto y de amor a la playera, un día típico en Ingredion siempre es un día con mucho trabajo y del cual se espera siempre una alta calidad.
Aprendí a entregar resultados de alta calidad en el plazo pactado, administra proyectos urgentes con grupos de trabajo de diferentes áreas de la empresa así como de diferentes lugares y culturas.
La dirección general y gerencias están representadas por gente de experiencia y capacidad casi por regla general.
El ambiente de trabajo es ameno y propicio para la productividad con diversos servicios a los empleados para una mayor comodidad.
La parte más complicada del trabajo es que en el área de sistemas en México no existe la posibilidad de crecimiento, limitando tus responsabilidades.
Lo que más me gusto del trabajo en Ingredion es su gente.

Tuve la fortuna de haber laborado en ésta maravillosa compañía como Ing. De IT y decir que es una excelente compañía en todos los sentidos, excelente ambiente laboral, con valores y una ética intachable y bien fundamentadas, la calidad humana y el trato al personal son de lo mejor, predican con el ejemplo, el apoyo y el trabajo en equipo también es algo que sobre sale en una empresa tan noble y que te abraza el buen humor y el compañerismo que todos los días se vive ahí, se preocupan mucho por su personal, tienen también muy buenos sueldos y horario de trabajo, por otra parte, aprendes muchísimo y pones en práctica tus conocimientos y al mismo tiempo también aprendes muchísimo, recomiendo ampliamente a ésta excelente compañía.

Despiden a los colaboradores por procesos de reestructura con un dia de anticipo, dejandolos de un dia a otro en la calle.
Ambiente laboral tóxico, lleno de burocracia y cultura laboral de antaño.
Jefes sin el mínimo sentido de la ética o empatía.
Total desconexión entre jefes y empleados, hay una alta rotación y el equipo de liderazgo no entiende que es debido a la gestión, el nulo reconocimiento a la gente, y el nulo plan de carrera.
Hay jefes que abiertamente discriminan a los egresados de escuelas públicas, burlándose de su educación.
Hay situaciones de acoso laboral (omisión, ignorar a empleados, burlas, comentarios despectivos, apropiación del trabajo, etc.) y RH no hace nada al respecto.

La empresa Ingredion es una empresa transnacional que cuenta con un excelente ambiente laboral, es una empresa socialmente responsable que siempre se ha distinguido entre las mejores opciones para laborar en la región, tiene un gran compromiso con el bienestar de sus empleados y con la comunidad donde opera, solo que en el área en la que actualmente me desarrollo, las oportunidades de crecimiento son limitadas.

Un día típico en la empresa era llegar a buscar que todos los embarques programados salieran y entregaran en tiempo, de lo contrario revisar el retraso e informar a mi cliente interno y a mi jefe, aprendí la importancia del trabajo en equipo y la importancia de anticiparse a los riesgos de entrega y mantener informado al departamento de ventas de forma oportuna de los problemas en los embarques, con mis colegas había muy buena relación y armonía en el trabajo.

Early, in the morning, before entering the plant, the personal protective equipment, tools, and uniform are checked so that everything is in optimal condition, Make the work permit, and you can start the job. The place is a large plant, you walk a lot, but it is healthy.
The work environment is of great respect and strict observance of safety rules. Part of the day I enjoy the most about my job is when I can help with the smooth running of the plant.
Despues de un mes de entrevista y luego de haber firmado contrato, haber hecho de todo en papeles y examen. 3 dias antes de comenzar me llamaron y me dijeron que habia salido un pequeño problema en los examenes en un oido. Algo super debil. Una ofensa. Desprecie varias opciones para trabajar y la compañia me quedo mal eso que firme casi dos semanas antes contrato. Creia que la compañia era mas responsable y tenia otros valores.
Worked at ingredion for less than a year. There is a reason why this company.has a high turnover rate. The company prides itself on safety but in my time employed here I have seen a handful of people get hurt (minor incidents and close calls) and people have privately complained about safety concerns but yet these people are too scared to speak up, because the company boasts about 365+ days without an incident. Employees are scared to be 'the one' who breaks the streak. The company boasts about safety yet the piping leaks the floors are wet from these leaks and the floors are slick and slippery from the sugar water and syrup coating the majority of the floor. Yet the company refuses to shut down to repair these issues because honestly the quantity of production outweighs the safety of the workers. If there is a fire alarm set off, the employees are responsible to locate and gather anyone in the facility (not management, or safety) if there is a so2 or ammonia leak (put on a respirator and keep doing your job) ingredion claims safety but nothing I saw promotes that.
Be prepared to be forced to work 16 hour days. Yes. You are responsible and shown up for you 8 hr shift but if the next person doesn't you are responsible and forced to stay. Otherwise that's job abandonment. And this can happen for 2 or 3 days straight. But yet SAFETY SAFETY!! what a joke. Have a person work 3, 16 hr days let alone 1 tell me how safe it is for that person to drive home. Once you clock out yo

Durante mi desempeño como Profesional de Compras en Ingredion tuve la oportunidad de crecer como persona y como profesional, mi jefe directo fue un mentor para mi y pude aprender acerca de estrategias de negociación, planeación y contratación estatal.
Debido a que mi labor era garantizar el suministro de Materias primas y Material de Empaque para las plantas de Bienestarina del ICBF y adicionalmente planear la producción y compras para dichas plantas, fue necesaria la interacción con diferentes áreas de la organización en diversos niveles gerárgicos, lo que me permitió adquirir un mayor grado analítico y una visión mas global de los Programas Institucionales de Nutrición y de esta manera tener una respuesta mas oportuna y acertada a los requerimientos realizados por el cliente.
Adicionalmente, tuve la posibilidad de apoyar al ICBF en el proceso de otros programas de Nutrición tales como subastas inversas, brindar apoyo en auditoría a proveedores y hacer parte del programa de desayunos infantiles desde las labores de Compras y Planeación.
Considerando que la información básica para planear producción y todo lo que esto conlleva era suministrada con poco tiempo de reacción, era necesario ir un paso adelante y en ocasiones correr algunos riesgos de acuerdo a la experiencia. Además, se me hizo necesario que al recibir el plan de distribución mi dedicación fuera prioritaria para la planeación e incluso trabajar hasta terminar, sin importar la hora, en ciertas fechas en el
VentajasPrimas extralegales, vacaciones extralegales, bonificación anual por resultados, transporte desde y hacia la planta, medicina prepagada, médico y odontólogo dentro de la planta. Oficina en la compañía de Entidad financiera, pensiones y cesantías, fondo de empleados, caja de compensación.
Having worked for Ingredion and seeing the way the site has deteriorated over the last 6 months is such a shame. The men and women who work on the shop floor every day are the only people that are keeping the site running.
The site needs a complete overhaul of the senior management team and this includes the site manager, production manager and project manager to name but a few. They are work shy and have left the operatives working through the most stressful period in their works history and sat at home for the majority of the last 5 months.
The site manager is a bully and she thinks nothing about getting rid of people who aren’t yes people. They do not support any of the operatives on the shop floor, resulting in low morale and a lack of motivation from its workforce.
The company used to be the place where everyone wanted to work and yet now people stay clear knowing how the place is run now!
The pay is good and there are excellent staff benefits.
Someone from higher up the food chain so to speak needs to take some drastic action all the hardworking, dedicated and knowledgable staff leave!

If you like working in dusty, hot, and over all bad working environments this is the place for you. You will be expected to clean up starch that just pours out of line due to management not making sure repairs are done for employees safety. Oh yes let not forget that your vehicle will get a layer of startch ( that doesn't just wash off) on it if you do not park in the rite spots in the parking lot, but they have been working on fixing that issue for a long time.
Management is there to make sure at all cost management is not to blame for anything and it is always the employees not the office poeples fault for anything. You will be expected to run two lines if you are short handed on a crew and if you don't, prepared to pay the price in one way or another from management. In other words management love you till you cross them or don't play yes man to them.
We had a saying when I worked there "Punish the good employees and reward the bad." If you do decide to work there I wish you the best of luck. The turn over rate is very high and it's not from them getting rid of poeple. It from people quiting. I couldn't even tell you how many have come and gone in the last few years.

A typical day at work prior to retiring was greeting visitors, answering the Avaya phone, maintaining office supplies, ordering chemicals, dunnage and empty bags for the plant, keeping inventory reports, reordering when needed, checking status of empty trays and toners and reordering, ordering lunches, setting up meeting rooms, setting up hotel and transportation for visitors. Used Concur for company Master Card purchases for office supplies, lunches, etc.
The best part of the job was inventory control, for years I handled the base material going to 13 outside plants, their finished product being shipped to customers, and what base was used (batch numbers and amounts) plus troubleshooting. The hardest part of the job was in Procurement working with rate changes and all the updates - also in billing keeping information current. I also worked with Non-Conformances which was basically was with customers that did not meet our standard requirements.
I enjoyed working at Ingredion for 34 years, and recently retired the end of January.

Great place to work. Its all about team effort and learning. At ingredion eduation is important because they want everyone to move up in the company. the majority of the employees have been here for up to 40+ years. I came in as a temp in the mailroom and they say my potential and gave me tamp position within Ingredion. I currently work as a Documentation Specialist at the corporate headquarters in Westchester, IL. I love my job and I love my team. Fortunate for me, I know all of the employees on all 6 floors. From lower level employees to executives. my name is known throughout the corporate headquarters because of my character. The CEO Illene is very pleasant, I have never had a cordial conversation with her, but i've spoken to her and she isn't snoody or think she is better than anyone. All of the employees are great and welcoming. I would recommend anyone to work for this company

Training in the lab is sketchy at best since the Lab Supervisor is overworked with many other tasks. Overall Lab Management cannot be trusted. They will tell you one thing when you try to discuss a problem, then turn around and stab you in the back. If you catch them in one of their lies and can prove it they will terminate your contract immediately.
Most of the lab has been there six months or less. While some of the former union employees have been there longer and will help out, some of the newer employees are willing to say and do anything to please the lab management in hopes of advancing and can't be trusted, which is probably one of the reasons for the high turnover. When you are warned 4-5 times during orientation to watch your back that should be a tip off. Finally the lab personnel are not given any of the perks or protection afforded to the union employees in the plant, and are actually paid less. While hired on as an hourly temp, if you become permanent they switch you to salary and increase your hours, something they will not bring up in the interview.

Es una de las mejores experiencias que he podido realizar en mi vida. El grupo de trabajo que conocí y labore, es de excelentes profesionales y personas, proactivas y serviciales en pro del crecimiento de la compañía y a nivel de individuo. Apoyándose con valores corporativos muy necesarios como lo es la seguridad, respeto y servicio. Las instalaciones tanta a nivel de oficinas de manufactura, como la planta como tal y los laboratorios de calidad y O&D son muy adecuados y eficientes en cuanto a la disposición de equipos. Se preocupaban continuamente por mejorar los procesos y tener inocuidad en los mismos. Una gran cultura de ZERO (defectos, desperdicios, entre otros) enfocados en el fortalecimiento de la metodología TPM. Me agrado mucho haber iniciado en esta empresa y espero se siga fortaleciendo con su excelente grupo de trabajo y filosofía al pasar de los años

Too many new skills to mention but there is great depth of knowledge and the potential to learn through the company, many external courses offered free of charge.
Site manager and production manager are idiots but the rest of the team are in the real world and support the operational team.
Work place culture is a nice mixture of supportive, like a laugh and a progressive attitude. New starters are welcomed.
Hardest part of my previous job was juggling the many roles I had to facilitate and still meet the demanding KPIs.
Most enjoyable part of the job was seeing the finished product leaving site on time and meeting the many deadlines. Also they liked a night out for the team.
