Una vez establecida la meta financiera por trimestre, nuestra presencia con el cliente era propiamente de todos los días a cualquier hora; asesorando sobre nuevos proyectos así como fortaleciendo su mejor decisión sobre cual sería la mejor alternativa de solución naturalmente empleando equipo de la marca; una vez validada la alternativa de solución desarrollábamos proyectos o ingenierías de detalle para posteriormente ya autorizados llevarlos a procesos de compra e instalación, puesta en marcha, pruebas y entrega con sus áreas de Ingeniería y Operación.
Al final cerrábamos el proceso con las áreas de contraloría para la firma de documentos y autorización para facturación. así con cada proyecto; ya que por área llegábamos a tener en temporada alta aproximadamente de 40 a 60 proyectos; por lo que manejar

Ambiente Profesional de ayuda sin límite y acceso a la informacion.
Normalmente se asiste a la oficina cuando hay algun faltante,requisicion de equipos, cambios al proyecto original, llegada a la obra de los equipos (total o parcial), ayuda de todos los involucrados en el proyecto (gerencia, jefes y compañeros),todos los colegas son abiertos a la ayuda ya que son profesionales , lo que causaba algo de problema era que los equipos normalmente llegan de madrugda y hay lugares poco accesibles y lo que más me gusto fue conocer verdaderos monstruos generadores de agua helada y sus sistemas de respaldo,la felicidad de verlos como
cumplen con lo esoecificado.

Un día típico de trabajo empieza muy activo, tan pronto entras a la planta ya estas haciendo chequeo de equipo y revisando la producción diaria, aprendí sobre presiones en determinadas maquinas así como pruebas de presiones y electrónicas. La dirección/gerencia se mantiene al margen de las actividades diarias, tenia colegas muy eficientes y con mucha experiencia que nos daban apoyo a los elementos de nuevo ingreso; aunque también existían colegas con muy mal sentido de compañerismo y que ponían trabas a los auditores nuevos. Lo mas difícil del trabajo es aprender las cosas nuevas pero de ahí en adelante todo esta muy bien

Ambiente de trabajo
Lo importante para mi, fue que conocí el proceso de cada uno de los productos que se fabrican en las lineas de ensamble de Carrier, me desenvolví demasiado, ya que tenia mucho trato tanto con Gerentes, Ingenieros hasta con Operarios, ya que cuando yo tomaba los tiempos y quería implementar una propuesta para que fuera mas rápido el ensamble, tomaba en cuenta las opiniones del personal que estaba cargo de esa estación de trabajo, con las juntas que realizaba con Gerentes e Ingenieros, me desenvolví, ya que daba a conocer los pro y contras sobre las áreas de oportunidad.

en si, el trabajo en esta empresa es muy agradable, tiene comedor, transporte y la paga es muy buena.

Ambiente inclusivo, Tienes tu propia área de cafetería y también comedor, la comida especial esta rica pero se cobra a parte y se tiene que ordenar con un día de anticipación. El ambiente tiende a ser estresante ya que todo urge, casi nunca puedes salir a tu hora tienes que quedarte tiempo extra. Los compañeros tienden a ayudarte cuando tienen oportunidad ya cada quien vive en su mundo y tienen demasiada carga de trabajo. Es muy indispensable el inglés.

El ambiente era agradable pues existía confianza y respeto entre los empleados.
Solía iniciar el día preparando café de grano y revisando mis pendientes. Continuaba estableciendo prioridades de forma conjunta con mi jefe y después tomaba un café e iniciaba mis actividades. Lo más difícil era traducir términos técnicos en inglés y auxiliar al director de finanzas, pues era alemán y hablaba poco español. Aunque creo que también fue lo que más me gustó, ya que implicaba un desafío.

Carrier is suffering from a number of challenges post-separation: broken/immature or missing processes, zero appreciation for data governance and ineffective leadership. IT Senior leadership values relationships (covering for buddies) over performance. Individuals who repeatedly fail to deliver are given greater responsibilities and in some cases, promoted. Gross project failures are minimized with little to no corrective action. Wholesale project failures are minimized as trivial matters..."We knew this was going to be challenging." In the rare case that someone does speak up to discuss a failure, they are chided for not doing enough to get the information they need (super hard if they were never engaged to even be aware of said info). An environment like that just smothers success.
The procurement process is byzantine and randomly changes. There is no standard project initiation and execution process. There is no data standard for key objects: vendor, employee, customer, asset making it near impossible to represent these objects across platforms (even still, Leadership still expects the most robust reports). License keys are purchased without considering the company's existing license/functional footprint duplicating expenses, creating tech debt and leading to more customizations. Software is deployed without proper Stakeholder engagement. Projects are green-lit without sufficient resource support.

The weekly pay is good. But the bad outweigh the good on a major basis.
A majority of people at Carrier are family related so the chances of looking for a good job position are slim to none. They don't have to worry about overworking themselves like the good workers do unfortunately. The supervisors & team lead overwork their employees and threatens them with a write up/point if they don't work at their preferred pace expectancy, The facility does not take safety and offering good help as much as they preach about it. One employee had suffered a near fatal ankle fracture on the job in the coil shop back in early March of this year. Upper management threatened to give that person a point was advised to go home early for safety precautions. If you have low seniority then your chances of getting the highest bid is not a sure thing. You can go up to management and the supervisors about but will laugh in your face about it. They will tell you that the only chance to get it if there is someone with lower seniority than you is still working at Carrier. In which, the turnover rate is so high at Carrier that people with low seniority are stuck working as a PTC or on the assembly line until further notice, If you think that your PTO kicks after the 90 day probation period then you absolutely incorrect. The average Carrier employee has to work 3-5 years straighten until they can receive a full week of vacation time off from work or to take a day off. Fast paced environment where no day is ever the same.
No day at work remains blazing in my memory like the day my supervisors arrived my office unannounced, They brought in some new work forms and methods to replace old ones. We had to change statistics and other valuable information in the office. It was called "The Operation of Reconstitution of Forms". It was a very hectic day. There was much volume of official work to do and there were so many customers waiting to be attended to. We could not tell the post office customers to go and come back later because we didn't there was no pre-notice that there would be indoor official activity to be carried out on that day. Customers of post office savings bank especially those for withdrawals could not be talked into understanding with us. I had to mobilize with my colleagues to manage the situation.
I decided that some few co-workers should attend to the customers while I follow up the reconstituting of forms and to later impact the knowledge to them later for continuous action.
The hardest part of the job was getting to dismiss customers already in the office after working hours. I have to convince my subjects to bear with the customers and serve them.
I enjoyed the job basically because I love doing my job, I am assertive and have a true passion for helping others and enjoy interacting with people but the salary was too meager.

A usual working day at UTC carrier starts at 9 in the morning. UTS as an international conglomerate focusing business in building solutions such as air conditioning, elevators and escalators, controls and building management systems etc.
As an intern application engineer in the air conditioning department, I have acquired a strong knowledge of carrier products and services and how to propose products for specific applications of clients. The products raging form chillers, air handling units, fan coil units from factories of France, Turkey, Malaysia, KSA and China. As an engineer, proposing products need extensive knowledge in Heat load calculations, HVAC drawings and Technical schedules.
The working environment is extremely polite and the day by day duties are held efficiently. The office itself has a gold rating from LEED for its sustainable green building design.
The hardest part of the job is to coordinate with contractors across Dubai, Abudhabi, Sharjah, Alain, Fujairah, Ras al Khaimah for project form all over UAE. Hundreds of enquiries are being handled every week in an average.
The most important thing that makes the job so effortlessly is nothing but the support for the co-workers and the equality among all employees. Even office boys are treated and respected equally.
I went to work for Carrier during the aftermath of the 2008 economic malaise. Carrier was once the biggest name in air conditioning. Willis Carrier invented air conditioning. Back in the old days, if there was a problem with a system and Carrier sent out the smartest people I have ever been around. I went to work overseas for 5 years in the eighties. By the time I got back to the States, Carrier was battling McQuay for the forth biggest HVAC company. Carrier had lost its position at the top of the hill. Now the really impressive people I met earlier from Carrier had moved to Johnson Controls, Trane, and York. So when I was hired by Carrier I felt like I had made it and was rubbing elbows with those smart people in my industry. I started at the San Antonio branch and they moved me to the Austin branch.The Austin branch was doing horribly and people were being laid off almost weekly. We had a senior Account Manager, and I was the junior Account Manager, with a reduction of force target on me and sure enough was ultimately laid off. Before that as we lost people in the office the remaining people had to do the jobs of those laid off. This was difficult. The managers varied in abilities. Some were very good. Some were not.

A typical day always consisted of inserting flyers and ads in the newspaper, putting elastic bands around the paper and then putting them in bags to be delivered to the designated houses.
I learned a lot about time management skills because of the fact that the paper was due by a certain time and had to make sure that everything had to be done correctly and that there was no margin for errors. I also learned on how to keep a clean work environment.
Management was always an interesting situation due to the fact that I never actually saw my boss and could only communicate to her through via email, or phone calls.
I only had one co-worker and we had a really close relationship and communicated really well thus allowing us to also receive tips from customers due to our punctuality and excellent job.
The hardest part of my job was inserting the flyers and delivering. because some streets didn't get all the flyers and had to separate the piles and always had to make sure that there was enough papers. And for delivering you had to make sure you knew which houses did not want to receive the papers. Also the carrier bag would be really heavy depending on how many flyers were inserted.
The most enjoyable part of the job was the great comments I received from customers and how happy they were with my service.
As Carrier morphs away from the UTC umbrella to a standalone company the message is confusing & cloudy with the appearance of intentionally leaving employees in the dark as nervous nellies. The inside joke was the lack of communication is by design having the uncertain employees seeking employment options out of fear of job loss, numbers reduction without package payouts. The early message in 2019 was get Carrier back to the staffing levels of six years back. "We will hire 30,000 new employees with a focus on "young"". Sixty days after this powerful message the mission is layoff's, cut back's, hiring freeze or terminate people for no written cause.
Carrier will likely survive and do well when this settles down be it Carrier or as a Carrier joint adventure if sold. One can't help and wonder is this restructuring & shake-up positioning Carrier for a sale/joint adventure once very lean and profitable?
